Overview

Check My Email provides email risk assessments and, on paid plans, additional insights, analytics, and reporting. The information used depends on the plan and features you choose.

We use information to provide the requested scan, operate the selected plan, measure usage, deliver reports, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

Free verdict-only scans

For Free scans, the sender’s email address is retained so we can count scans and deliver weekly recap reports. The content of the email you forward for analysis is not retained after the verdict is provided.

Pro and business plans

Pro plans provide insights, analytics, and metrics reporting. To deliver those features, Check My Email retains relevant account and scan information used to generate the selected reports and views.

Business Pro and Sidekick may also process information associated with covered users, configured addresses, administrator settings, verdict activity, and business reporting. Access to business features is limited to the organization and its authorized administrators.

Service providers and legal requirements

We may use service providers to operate the service, process payments, send email, secure systems, and support customers. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or others.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security. Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the service, reporting, security, legal, and business requirements that apply to the selected plan.

Your choices

You can choose the verdict-only Free tier or a plan that includes retained information for analytics and reporting. Account holders may use the support channel included with their plan to ask about access, correction, or deletion options that apply to their account.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top shows when this version took effect.

Terms of Service

The terms for using Check My Email.

Using the service

These terms apply when you use Check My Email, including Free, Pro, Business Pro, and Sidekick features. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and provide accurate information when an account or business setup requires it.

Acceptable use

Use Check My Email only for messages you are authorized to submit. Do not use the service to violate the law, infringe rights, distribute harmful material, interfere with the service, evade plan limits, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

Plans, billing, and changes

Free use is subject to the limits shown on the homepage. Paid plan orders are reviewed and invoiced manually. Billing and renewal terms are provided with the invoice or related correspondence. Taxes or other charges may apply where required.

We may change features, limits, or pricing prospectively. Material changes to a paid plan will be communicated through the service or the account contact information available to us.

Business accounts

An organization is responsible for its authorized administrators, covered users, configuration choices, and use of Business Pro or Sidekick. Sidekick is a business-only add-on and requires Business Pro.

Risk assessments, not guarantees

Verdicts and reports are informational risk assessments. They may contain errors, miss threats, or flag legitimate messages. You remain responsible for deciding whether to click, reply, download, pay, disclose information, or otherwise act on an email.

Availability and termination

We may suspend or limit access to protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or address nonpayment. Features may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, failures, or events outside our control.

Ownership

Check My Email and its service materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service, software, branding, or content provided by Check My Email.

Disclaimer and limitation

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Check My Email does not promise that every threat will be detected or that every verdict will be correct. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their effective date.
